Well every thing was on course Saturday for our first pull the next afternoon, Sunday April 23rd. The track was laid out and disced up, the announcing booth was set, and even some pullers were spending the night trackside...then wham! it starting raining on Sunday morning about 5:00 a.m. It soon became apparent that the pull was in danger of being cancelled. Fast action Sunday morning by the show officials and VTPA members saved the day...We would pull inside in one of the huge exhibition buildings. The problem was having to remove the tables and chairs still in place from the big banquet and entertainment show the night before.
Many hands make light of the work so the saying goes. Everyone pitched in and in no time the building floor was cleared, registration and the scales were set up inside, and we were on the way to starting the pull on time just after 1:00 p.m. We had to be careful to not tear up the hard packed dirt surface in the building so discing the tracks was out of the question. Therefore, the vehicles never really hooked up like normal but we made a pretty good showing anyway! It meant a lot to the pullers who traveled long distances to be able to pull in light of the high fuel prices we face these days.

Many thanks to long time VTPA member, Robbie Soults, for keeping us coming back year after year.
Please be patient for the official results posting here as they have been delayed .
